Who is Ms. Engardio?
I hold many positions, each of which indulges one of my passions.
Of course, first and foremost, my love for teaching and working with high school students in my Social Studies classroom.
My love for helping others and ending discrimination and bullying, through the organization Peer 2 Peer.
In my role as Student Council Advisor I get to plan community and school-wide events including Welcome Back Tailgate, Homecoming, Season of Giving, and more.

Family
I am from a very close family. My mother is my inspiration. She is now a retired High School English teacher. Her expertise as a master teacher is often called upon when I get writers block when preparing a new lesson. My father and brother are both in the insurance business. My father runs the Personal Insurance division of Kapnick Insurance. And my brother is an underwriter at State Auto.
The baby of my family is my dog, Cayman, named after the Cayman Islands. He is a Jack Russel/Beagle mix but he takes after his name and is a laid-back "Island" dog as my family says. He is happiest up north on Walloon Lake sleeping on the family boat and chasing squirrels.
They are all often included in my classroom examples and stories.
